The folks over at Moz and Searchmetrics have released their annual search ranking factors, and we decided to merge them into one insightful infographic. This infographic shows correlation data for as many metrics as are available in both the Moz and Searchmetrics reports, and also compares that data with the survey results from Moz’ survey of 150 online marketing experts, who were asked to rank various ranking factors according to what they believed to be the most significant.
Some interesting results are evident once the data are combined. For example, the Moz survey indicated relatively high 8.34 on the importance scale (on a scale of 1-10) for “keyword present in main content.” SearchMetrics correlation data found a relatively low correlation of 0.07, however.
